El Morro Eco Adventure Hotel

El Morro Eco Adventure Hotel is a small hotel on Calle El Morro, the road that runs from Montecristi to the national park. It is the closest place to stay to El Morro itself, less than 1 km from Playa El Morro, and it markets itself around the area's outdoor activities: boat trips, snorkeling, diving, hiking, kayaking and fishing, which the front desk can help arrange.

The property is compact. Its own website listed 12 rooms, a restaurant, a lobby bar, a swimming pool and a children's play area, and booking sites list an outdoor pool, a kids' pool, a garden and picnic area, free parking and Wi-Fi in public areas. Rooms are doubles with private bathrooms and, according to most listings, air conditioning; one listing disagrees, so confirm when you book if that matters to you.

Guest scores are strong, around 9.1 out of 10 on Trip.com and 9.4 on Expedia, with reviews running through mid-2026. Guests tend to praise the staff and the location. Not every stay is perfect: one March 2026 review reported cockroaches and an unsatisfying response from management, which is worth knowing for a small property in a hot, dry climate. Check that breakfast is included in your rate, as listings differ.

Rates in 2026 have generally been around $95 to $110 per night on booking sites. Staff mainly speak Spanish, so a translation app helps.

Location is the selling point. You can be at the El Morro visitor area in a few minutes, catch the morning light on the mesa before day visitors arrive, and drive into town for dinner on the Malecón in about 10 minutes. You still need a car or taxi to get around.
